Laurie Cortner is passionate about helping others feel more confident and in control of their financial lives. She understands that finances can be one of the most stressful parts of everyday life, and she finds great joy in watching that anxiety turn into confidence as she and her clients work together. Laurie especially values the opportunity to become a trusted partner in each client’s financial journey and build relationships that grow stronger over time.

Laurie began her career as a secondary financial advisor with ARGI, a Louisville-based registered investment advisory firm that was acquired by Cerity Partners in 2023. After relocating to Nashville, she briefly worked as an executive assistant before joining Waddell & Associates, where she gained experience in both client service and financial advising.

At Vestia, Laurie is excited to bring her relationship-focused approach and financial planning experience to a new client base. She looks forward to navigating new planning scenarios, collaborating with the Vestia team and helping clients bring their financial goals to life. Her favorite part of the work is developing meaningful relationships with clients and seeing the plans they created together come to fruition over the years.

Outside of the office, Laurie can often be found taking a workout class, trying a new restaurant or attending a concert or sporting event. She also enjoys spending time at home with her two cats, Julep and Biscotti.
