Qualifications

  • BS in Elementary Education, University of Missouri – St. Louis
‘Wealth that matters’ is being able to have those spur-of-the-moment adventures that come up in life.

Judy knew early in her life that she enjoyed helping and serving others. That initially led her to early childhood education, but finance soon found her like it was meant to be. Judy found that through financial planning, she was able to directly help and make an impact on the lives of others in a tangible way. She loves taking time to really get to know the clients she serves and building long term relationships with them.

Judy holds a degree in Elementary Education from University of Missouri – St. Louis and brings a depth of experience from various client service roles at Buckingham Strategic Partners to her role at Vestia. Outside the office, you might find Judy spending time with her large family – she is the youngest of five children with nine nieces and nephews – or working out, cooking, or listening to true crime podcasts. Judy has a particular affinity for live music and theater performances – she is probably listening to the Hamilton soundtrack right now while dreaming of seeing the show on Broadway someday!

One of Vestia’s values is to model “wealth that matters.” What does this mean to you?
To me, wealth that matters is being able to have those spur-of-the-moment adventures that come up in life – being able to travel to see my family and to go to concerts is important to me, and I’m thankful to be financially stable enough to seize those opportunities!
When did you first realize you were interested in finance?
I always say that finance found me. A friend told me to apply for an entry-level job at a finance company, so I did. Once I started, I immediately knew I found what I wanted to do with my life.
What is the most important thing you have learned about helping other people?
One of the most important things you can do is really listen. I also think knowing when to ask for help is important.
